Title: rs232 Datalogger - LogFile
Post by: smirgo on February 10, 2014, 05:01:28 PM
hi,

I'm new here and I'm having a problem with my Logfile. I'm logging a force gauge (Modell: PCE-FM200) and my log txt file looks like this:

? €   À`ààààààààð ? €   À`ààààààààð ? €   @`ààààààà ð ?    ....

so for me it looks like conversion problem. Is this something which I can solve within the Datalogger software or do I have to try to convert it or should I speak with the support of the device?

Thanks for any response and advice.

Most likely, your device uses a character encoding other than ASCII, and therefore the log will not be human-readable when opened in a text editor.
