I've read on the product description that it converts the images into jpg format. Is this optional or is it necessary for a reduced swf size, I only ask because I assume scaling goes out the window once an image is converted.

Ok, thanks for the prompt answer. Then some quality loss is to be expected in the optimization process. I thought it worked somewhat like an archiving software, where the info was compressed only to be decompressed by the cpu.
