I have an environment monitoring device that sends SMS alerts via a GSM modem connected to its com port.

I need to replace the GSM modem with my custom built program which can capture the alerts being sent by the device.

What can you suggest?

Please tell us whether we understand your usage scenario correctly.

You may connect your monitoring device to the COM port of a computer. And open it by your custom built program which is running on this computer. I see no need for either of our software in this case. The possible problems that you might encounter are:  the COM port for the device on the system is not detected by your software, your software cannot work with COM ports at all, there should be no computer in between.

However It would be better if you are more explicit concerning what you need a solution for. I kindly ask you to send us the scheme of your desired configuration.

Please be informed that our software works successfully with all standard COM ports.

Feel free to contact us whenever you have any questions or propositions concerning our software.
