OK,
I did install a device on the server and did a successful localhost connection.
Then I set up a virtual server running W2003 Server 64Bit, tried to connect (both servers are on the same subnet, in the same domain - no firewalls running - no Windows firewall active)
and the Remote Devices item shows "Port 1 (Unknown Device) on SERVER1 (Waiting for Connection)
the Logs on the Server2 show continuous repeating..
"Server1:3537": Connection Established
"Server1:3537": unable to establish connection
"Server1:3537": Connection Established
"Server1:3537": unable to establish connection
...
On Server1 the logs show continuous..
"\Port1 (Unknown Device)" the following host was connected to the shared device" Server2.testdomain
The following device is available for sharing: Unknown Device, "\Port1"
"\Port1 (Unknown Device)" the following host was connected to the shared device" Server2.testdomain
The following device is available for sharing: Unknown Device, "\Port1"
....
I then installed on a WXP workstation and made a successful connection.
Anything bad about connections from windows 64bit to Windows 32Bit?
Any Ideas?
Thanks
