unable to share specified usb port. unable to restart usb device.(Read 13014 times)
my laptop doesn't want to share the port. what can i do?

Please try doing the following:

1. Unplug the USB device from the computer.
2. Share the desired USB port with USB to Ethernet Connector.
3. Plug in the USB device back into the shared USB port.

As a rule, this resolves "unable to restart usb device" problem

is there a possibility  if a usb  device unable to safe remove there is a infected virus?

I tried the uplug, share, plug back in approach and still had the same result. I tried moving to different USB ports too with no success. Some have suggested rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling etc.

In my case, simply restarting the Eltima service resolved the problem.
